OUR COMMITMENTS
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL NATURAL MATERIALS.
In order to respect nature in its entirety we carefully select natural ingredients of the highest quality from France and around the world. Hence our choice to collaborate with the Robertet family house from Grasse, an institution with exceptional and unique know-how for over 170 years. With this idea in mind, our essences also come from an ethical and responsible supply, and our formulas contain up to 96% ingredients of natural origin.
WHEN THERE IS NOTHING TO REMOVE, THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE.
In line with our desire to offer you a range of products that are as clean for you as they are for the planet, we adhere to the most complete transparency.
Parabens, PEG, Phthalates, Silicones, BHT, BHA, EDTA, Phenoxyethanol... Does this mean anything to you? It doesn't matter, because you won't find them here ! In fact, we don’t use any synthetic dyes, endocrine disruptors, irritants or pollutants. Our sourcing favors quality, durability, traceability and safety of each ingredient. 100% Vegan - we don’t use any components of animal origin and our cruelty-free formulas are never tested on animals.
BECAUSE EVERYTHING HAD TO BE DONE, WE COULDN'T DO IT OTHERWISE.
Haute Parfumerie? Yes, but with respect and goodwill. Our suppliers are certified, and share our values, such as the respect of your natural diversity and respect for the planet. We favor local sourcing, in France and in Europe, in order to limit our carbon footprint. We limit the use of plastic as much as possible, choosing natural materials, such as wood for our cap or biodegradable cellophane. Our glass bottles, made in France and Germany, are entirely recyclable, and our cardboard cases are made from FSC-certified paper from eco-managed forests. At L’Atelier Parfum, we minimize our impact on nature as much as possible and take care of yours. The result? Fragrances like nowhere else, from design to manufacturing!
BECAUSE LIFE IS BETTER ON A CLEAN PLANET
In many industries, it is still impossible to remove plastics completely, as alternatives do not yet exist. That is the case for the pumps and that we use in our bottles. However, instead of waiting for the perfect solution to come along, we decided to take action now and partner up with CleanHub. With their help, we will be recovering 5,000kg of non-recyclable plastic waste from the environment before it can reach the ocean. In order to stop ocean-bound plastic, it’s important to significantly increase plastic recovery rates in high leakage locations, like South-East Asia. That is why CleanHub works with collection hubs across the region to not only build infrastructure for local waste management, but also to educate the communities and create dignified job opportunities for them.
L'Atelier Parfum x CleanHub
Since day one, we have been building our brand with a focus on quality,
sustainability,
traceability and safety. We stay true to this promise by taking a
stance against the plastic crisis.
On top of removing all plastic that we could from our packaging, we are also
committed to
recovering 5,000kg of ocean-bound
non-recyclable plastics from high-impact regions across
South-East Asia just this year. That is roughly
16x our actual footprint, meaning that we are not
only
neutralizing, but having a positive effect on the environment.
Why do we care?
Current recycling and waste management methods are insufficient for the volume of plastic generated. There is a growing demand for collecting recyclable plastic, like plastic bottles, because they can be turned into new products, and therefore have a value. However, non-recyclable plastics accumulate because there is no economic incentive for their collection, they lack value. This plastic is often burned, dumped, or sent to landfills, eventually finding its way into the oceans. Approximately 80% of ocean waste consists of non-recyclable materials, with over 90% sinking to unrecoverable depths.
What is CleanHub?
In order to stop ocean bound plastic, it’s important to significantly increase plastic recovery rates in high leakage locations. To achieve that, CleanHub empowers local communities to cope with their own plastic waste, create incentives, develop waste management standards and foster local entrepreneurship. Recovering plastic from the environment involves three distinct operations. Firstly the collection of the plastic, secondly the sorting of plastic into its unique types and thirdly the safe and final treatment.
Dear industry, we dare you
The global beauty industry is one of the leading polluters when it comes to plastic packaging. Creating 120 billion units of packaging waste every year — most of which are not fully recyclable. And contributing to the loss of 18 million acres of forest annually. 95% of beauty packaging is thrown out after one use — only 14% ends up in a recycling centre and the rest heads to the landfill. The luxury beauty market especially is still a culprit of using unnecessary secondary packaging and single-use plastic wrapping. We are taking action now. Join us.
